Bravissimo, Professore Kaplan, I was thinking along the same lines the other day when, before sitting down to play an impeccable Sweet Loraine Latin Style, I decided to sit outside in my 85 degree Jamaican climatic reality to make sure all my ten ivory-tickling tools were ready for some 7#9 chords on those 88 keys that were begging me to caress them into jazzy harmonies. But then again, I remembered a famous Juliard professor who still warms up his oboe daily...I think I will continue to err on the side of preparation, perseverance, and determination. It's a genetic thang for we Kaplans. Bless up...

Every group now seems to want to play late Beethoven.
There is so much great literature I am looking more closely
at the groups playing the less known works and GOOD composers.
Some literature gets "overplayed".
A group here just performed Dvorak OP106. Another the Gernsheim SQ.
The great conducter Felix Weingardner wrote a SQ Op 24. Some great
Schubert is never played. Why always "Death and the Maiden"????
Food for thought.

I always wondered why hthe horn part in this piece was so uncharacteristic o and very difficult to play. But what fun to be inlcuded in the music making. Nice job!
